About

Conversation Designer & AI Engineer

I design conversations for Indy, Independer's customer chatbot, and build the GenAI systems behind it.

From philosophy to AI

I got here from philosophy. After my degree I did quantitative research, then freelance data consulting for non-profits, and from there into conversation design, where I now build the AI systems as well. The technical side I learned on the job and on my own: Python, prompt engineering, full-stack development, and more recently agentic systems and self-hosted infrastructure.

How I work

I care about AI systems being fun to use, and think about design as much as the technical side. That perspective comes from building conversations professionally and years of designing tabletop games. I’m most interested in how an LLM can make a different kind of experience possible.

Outside work

When I'm not working, I'm designing tabletop RPGs, doing macro photography, or tinkering with Houdini FX. I also build things you can try on this site: a horror game where you interrogate LLM monsters, a self-hosted AI assistant, and a chiptune typing game.
